The Windsor Democratic Party will be discussing recent incidents of violence and hate crimes, and working on ways to create and maintain a safe and welcoming community in Windsor.
The Democratic Town Committee wishes to express its agreement with state Chair Nancy Wyman:
“We have seen more shootings and stabbings in homes, schools, houses of worship and places of business in 2019 than ever before. Our hearts are broken for all of lives impacted.
“It is past time to take action to prevent more violence. We don’t need more guards with guns, we need sensible laws that start to limit the number of guns on the street. And we need leadership in the White House that rejects hatred. Your vote in 2020 can save lives.”
The next meeting of the Windsor Democrats will take place Monday, January 13th, at 7 pm at Town Hall, and will be a caucus to elect Town Committee members for a new term. All registered Windsor Democrats may take part and are encouraged to attend.
