Ice Cream and Democrats

The Windsor Democratic Party will host a meet and greet with Lilly Pad Dairy Bar at 309 Windsor Avenue on Thursday, September 21 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Candidates for the Town Council, Board of Education and Constables will be introduced. You will get to meet and ask questions of the candidates during this time.

On behalf of the candidates, Darleen Klase, Windsor Democratic chair noted, “this is a wonderful chance to meet the candidates personally in an informal setting”.

Elect Windsor Democrats in November

The Windsor Democratic Town Committee unanimously selected their slate for the November municipal elections.  Running for re-election to the Town Council are Mayor Don Trinks, Deputy Mayor Jody Terranova and Councilor Jill Jenkins along with new candidates Rich O’Reilly and Joe McAuliffe.  Current Board of Education members Vice President Leonard Lockhart and Nuchette Black-Burke are joined by new candidates Maryam Khan, David Furie and James Dobler.  Candidates for Constable are Lawrence Jaggon and Steven Naraine.

Windsor Democrats are proud of the diverse group of candidates that are running to represent all of Windsor.  Opportunities to meet the candidates and attend fundraisers will be occurring over the next few months.  Information on the candidates will be posted here soon.  If you would like to mail a contribution to support the candidates in their campaign please complete this form- Contribution form wdtc and mail along with your check made out to WDTC (Windsor Democratic Town Committee) to Bonnie Waterhouse, WDTC Treasurer, 5 Kari Court, Windsor CT 06095.

Calling all Democrats

Monday July 24th at 7pm all registered Democrats in Windsor are encouraged to attend the caucus at town hall to select our candidates for the November elections for Town Council, Board of Education and Constable.  Please come and show your support for the candidates.

The meeting will be held in the Ludlow Room on the first floor of Town Hall.

Running for local office

The last informational session on running for Town Council and Board of Education this November will be held Tues May 9th at 7pm at Bart’s.  Join us if you want to learn more about the process of running, roles and responsibilities of an elected official, time commitment and more.  If you are serious about running for Town Council, Board of Ed or as a Constable the first step is to submit your name to the Nominating Committee.  They will be conducting interviews later this month.  Please email Darleen Klase at klasedar@gmail.com
