Special Election Feb 28th State Senate

Due to the departure of Senator Eric Coleman the seat representing the 2nd Senatorial District (covering sections of Windsor, Hartford and Bloomfield) needs to be filled.  State Representative Doug McCrory of Hartford is the democrat running for this seat and needs our support.

Election Day is Tuesday Feb 28th.  Windsor voters in districts 1-6 vote at their normal polling locations 6am- 8pm.

An important way you can help right now is by donating $5  at www.mccroryforsenate.com to help him qualify for public financing to run this short campaign.  He needs to collect 250 donations from Windsor, Hartford and Bloomfield citizens by Feb 8th in order to qualify.  Please spread the word!

You can read more about Rep McCrory at www.housedems.ct.gov/McCrory

and find him on facebook www.facebook.com/RepMcCrory/

Join us Sept 26th and meet Tim Curtis

WINDSOR DEMS FUNDRAISER FOR TIM CURTIS

The Windsor Democratic Town Committee is holding a meet and greet your new candidate for the 60th House District. This district is the 5th and 6th voting districts in Windsor. The position has been held by retiring Representative Peggy Sayers. Peggy has served Windsor for many years and we also want to take this time to thank Peggy for her years of service to Windsor, Windsor Locks and the state of Connecticut.

Bart’s Beanery will be hosting this event on Monday, September 26th from 5:30-8:00pm.  An assortment of sweet and savory hors d’oeuvers will be served and a donation of $20 at the door would be appreciated to help offset costs associated with Tim’s campaign.

Tim, a retired teacher, is a longtime Windsor resident who, along with his wife, raised two girls in the Windsor school system. He has served on the Board of Education and The Windsor Town Council, ten years as Deputy Mayor. Currently he is a Windsor Commissioner on the MDC (Metropolitan District Commission).
